Australian equipment supplier and integrator Professional Audio Technology (PAT) has added the hire of selected equipment to its services portfolio.

‘We often recieve enquiries from customers regarding the possible hire of equipment rather than its outright purchase,’ says PAT Operations Manager, Meredith Buckton. ‘This is due to the short-term requirment of extra equipment for certain jobs or productions our customers are working on.’

The new service is specifically aimed at PAT customers rather than the general public: ‘We hope this will be a value-add service for our customers and will by no means be a shift away from our core business,’ Buckton confirms.

To kick the service off, Professional Audio Technology has purchased an entire DIS 5900 Discussion System and various DirectOut Technologies products, such as ANDIAMO.XTs and ma2chboxes. Also included in the hire stock will be small KME PA systems and Focal studio monitors. Other equipment will be added, based on demand.
