‘We are experts in the use of conventional line arrays,’ says Audio Technique Technical Director, Bernard Natalucci. ‘However, given the trend for modular line arrays and their advantages, we decided to be the first to access this technology in our region.

APG Uniline‘When APG launched the Uniline system, it was the first manufacturer to propose this concept– we like innovators.’

Audio Technique is the leading full service production and rental company in the Rhone-Alpes region of Southeast France. Headquartered in St Etienne with a vast warehousing and logistics centre in Villeurbanne near Lyon, it boasts the largest inventory of integrated sound, lighting, video and staging equipment in the region – and one of the largest in the country.

Recently, the company has invested in a significant Uniline line array system from and become a member of the Uniline Solution network of service providers.

Audio Technique opted for maximum flexibility in selecting a big configuration that can be broken down into three smaller, separate systems: 18 UL210 long-/medium-throw loudspeakers; fourUL210D medium-/short-throw and/or down fill speakers; 18 UL115B bass speakers and 12 TB218S subs. The Uniline system is complemented by Audio Technique’s existing inventory of APG SMX15 and DX15 monitor speakers.

‘Since its launch in 2009, Uniline has been tried and tested throughout France and abroad on a huge number of prestigious projects, and furthermore the network of rental providers and professional users is already well established in France,’ Natalucci adds. ‘The advantages of a modular system are considerable – depending on how the system is configured it can handle everything from a small, intimate indoor event to a major outdoor concert or festival. Furthermore, APG’s Uniline system is very comprehensive – exceptional performance, sophisticated rigging system and well thought-out ergonomics for quick and easy implementation.

‘We’ve been working with APG since 2010 when we first invested in a number of SMX15 monitors, and we have not been disappointed. We’re delighted to have taken our relationship to the next level and invested in Uniline and the Uniline Solution.’

The Uniline Solution now numbers some 25 companies across Europe, without counting those who are members (trained professional users) but not yet system owners.
