FeedBack Show Systems & Service has become the first German to purchase a Turbosound Flashline large-scale line array sound system.

FeedBack Show Systems & Service The purchase follows a series of demonstrations and trials in late 2011: ‘My decision to purchase the system actually happened before we had any gigs for it – that tells you how much confidence we have in Turbosound,’ says CEO Bernd Schmitz.

The company is a long-standing Turbosound, with its first purchase of 24 Flex Array cabinets dating to 2008 – which has sinnce grown to 112 TFA-600 Flex Array high packs and an equal number of subwoofers.

‘I was attracted to the brand in the first instance by Flex Array’s acoustical performance, especially the natural and clear midrange, which was and still is outstanding,’ says Schmitz. ‘After a shoot-out we ordered our first Turbosound Flex Array system because of its outstanding natural sound.

‘The following tour was a complete success, and from then until now we did a lot of shows from musicals to rock-and-roll with a continually growing Turbosound inventory.

FeedBack Show Systems & Service specialises in audio, light, video and rigging services across a wide range of sound reinforcement activities from live touring to corporate events in Europe.

‘We do around 800 shows a year, nearly every one of them with Turbosound products, and the results are always outstanding,’ Schmitz confirms.

‘We are no dry-hire company with only simple riders to fulfill. Our clients measure us, and ultimately book us, on the level of performance we deliver, and this has always been the leading thought in the way we do business. As a result we always have to take a closer look to new technologies, and the right PA system is an essential ingredient for having perfect results.

‘We are happy that we found a manufacturer who builds speaker systems that are able to reproduce any kind of music at a high level of acoustical performance,’ he adds. ‘For us it´s good to know that our opinions are heard – we can communicate more like partners than a conventional customer/manufacturer relationship. And I’m more than happy with Turbosound’s distribution in Germany right now – they are doing a good job and we’re really looking forward to seeing the new products coming out this year.’

Schmitz describes Flashline’s essential sound character as very clear and natural but never stressful to mix on. ‘Flashline sounds like it loves to play music,’ he says.
