UK audiovisual specialist QAV has added an L-Acoustics Kiva Kilo line array system its rental stock.

QAVBased in a custom-built HQ in Cambridgeshire, QAV works with clients worldwide, primarily in the corporate event and conference market, with audiences ranging from 100 to 2,000 attendees.

’We were looking for a modular line source system capable of handling larger corporate events,’ says company co-founder and Director, Ed Noble. ‘The fact that Kiva Kilo is modular means we can use the system in a wide range of event situations.’

The L-Acoustics system was chosen after trialling several similar line array products: ‘We were very impressed with the overall quality of the Kiva Kilo system,’ Noble says. ‘Its clarity of sound as well as the quick and efficient rigging system were the main selling points for us. We have seen an increased request for larger-scale shows with more demanding audio requirements in the last 12 months, and we wanted a robust product that could stand up to day to day production experiences.’

The system was supplied by Stage Electrics: ‘We have a long-standing relationship with Stage Electrics and the sales team have been very helpful throughout,’ Noble adds. ‘When choosing a supplier, after-sales service is as important as the initial price. This is something we, too, instill into our clients – that the word “service” shouldn’t be undervalued, as it’s what sets us apart from others.’

A well-established network of companies, including Stage Electrics’ rental department, is available to supplement the Kiva Kilo system if required.

QAV’s technical and design teams have been working in the audio visual arena for more than ten years, and its event team focuses on meticulous attention to detail. The company’s multi media division has seen unprecedented growth with the increase demand to deliver new and social media applications both offline and online.

Its sales and installation team matches its relationship with leading manufactures with an intimate knowledge of control systems, interactive multimedia and video production systems.

‘The Kiva Kilo purchase marks another step in QAV’s growth,’ says Noble. ’We’re delighted with its performance and the fact that it enables us to bring our service to a broader range of clients.’
