The recent installation of a dBTechnologies DVA line array system at Ohio’s Resurrection Power Church has given it the power and improved the audio quality it requires for services in its main sanctuary.

Specified by local company Metro Audio Video, the system is comprised of two DVA dBTechnologies powered line arrays, each one including a DVA S10 single 18-inch band-pass subwoofer flown at the top, with three T4 three-way elements below. Metro Audio’s Ed Whitney wanted to ensure that the sound was evenly distributed with the new audio set-up, a promise he delivered on, as Pastor Culver confirms: ‘The sound seems to be coming from everywhere…’

‘The line array is extremely easy to deploy,’ explains Whitney, who chose dBTechnologies DVA for a number of reasons, including its straight-forward configuration and tremendous versatililty. ‘We used a DVA Ease Focus and a laser to sight in each element, which proved to work perfectly. The system’s itself is surprisingly efficient; we only needed to install one 20A circuit to power each array.’

‘The entire mix of our seven-piece praise band, eight-voice praise team and additional 20-voice choir at the Resurrection Power Church are no problem for the new system,’ says church sound engineer, Keith Pickett. ‘It has plenty of headroom, and I can’t believe how easy it is to get “studio quality” sound.’

The DVA T4 is one of the most successful dBTechnologies products to date, having sold over 17,000 units worldwide, bringing the line array concept, previously only available to high profile projects, down to an affordable level.
