Recently appointed Argentine distributor SVC has reported ‘a significant sale’ of loudspeaker manufacturer Clair Brothers’ C12 line array system to production company, Merino Producciones Técnicas.
With assistance from Fabián Giordano of Sonamos Audio, a key Clair Brothers partner in Argentina, a live demo secured the sale: ‘This was not just a demo, it was an event attended by recognised audio professionals from the region,’ explains Ricardo Pegnotti, Audio Division Director at SVC. Among them was Merino Producciones.
Provider of equipment and production for the National Grape Harvest Festival, the decision-makers at Merino Producciones (organiser of the festival) listened with interest to the C12 demo and made the decision to make its purchase.
The complete set purchased by Merino Producciones includes 32 C12s along with twelve dual, 18-inch iS218 subwoofers and a three-point integral mounting system that allows several configurations, including the ability for them to be hung on top of the C12 linear array. Amplification consists of four racks, each containing three Clair Brothers/Lab.gruppen CB-PLM 12K44 and a CB-PLM 20K44 amplifiers with control and monitoring by Lake digital signal processing. The system is completed by a dozen Clair Brothers 1AM+ stage monitors.
