The new company is based in southern Germany, and will specialise in digital audio development using a team with broad expertise in digital audio, psychoacoustic, digital signal processing, mathematics, analogue and digital electronics, as well as computer hardware and software, and networking technologies. It is headed up by Dr Christoph M Musialik, General Manager of Somix Audio Labs and International R&D Director of the Soundking Group.
Somix Audio Labs’ focus is on hardware and software development, and DSP platforms, including high-speed design and layout, FPGA design, real-time operating systems, and AD/DA converters, and low-distortion analogue front-end components, to provide proprietary technologies and product development across the various Soundking audio brands. In this the company is aided by unique proprietary DSP configuration design tools, enabling fast prototyping and significantly accelerated product development.
