Røde Microphones has unveiled the M5 compact condenser microphone.

Inspired by the company’s flagship small-diaphragm NT5 model, the M5 features a half-inch cardioid electret condenser capsule and is available in acoustically matched pairs. The mic us a permanently polarised condenser, and offers low noise operation (75dBA S/N) and a 20Hz-20kHz frequency response for both studio recording and live performance. It is suited to use on a range of acoustic instruments and voices, either individually or in a stereo pair.

The M5 is finished with a proprietary ceramic coating, which provides a sleek matt black finish, and is supplied with WS5 windshields and RM5 stand mounts.
