HK Audio has launched the Pulsar series of active speakers into the popular 1kW class of portable PA systems.

Aimed at musicians, bands, DJs and other travelling shows, the line features two full-range models, the PL112 FA (12-inch woofer) and the PL115 FA (15-ich woofer) with 1kW of bi-amped power each, and the PL118 A 18-inch hybrid subwoofer with a 600W amplifier and onboard crossover. The designs also include next-generation DSP capabilities for multiband limiting.

‘The PA cabinets are manufactured at HK Audio’s HQ,’ says Lothar Stamer, co-owner and Head of R&D at HK Audio. ‘To set new standards for this class of speaker, we deliberately chose wood for the enclosures in combination with the integrated digital controller and the generously sized power amp circuitry.’
