d&b audiotechnik has announced the launch of its V-Series mid-sized line array system.

The V-Series comprises three-way passive V8 and V12 loudspeaker elements having 80° and 120° horizontal dispersion respectively. These are supported by the dedicated V-Sub, which incorporates d&b’s proprietary passive cardioid technology.

The V-Series is design to meet the needs of several applications – as a complement to the company’s J-Series, providing identical coverage to audiences in off-axis areas as well as matching sound characteristics; as a delay system; and as a line array in its own right. Smaller, lighter and equal to the J-Series in dispersion and voicing, the V-Series allows improved sightlines and reduced cost and weight for productions designed for medium and large auditoriums.
