JBL has added the HP-DS370 to its Intellivox family, offering power and directivity control with IP55 certification for outdoor use.
The HP-DS370 measures 3.7m in height, can deliver up to 105dB at 30m, and has a frequency response up to 18kHz. Horizontal dispersion is 100° and its typical throw is around 50m, allowing coverage of approximately 2,150m2 by a single device.
Billed as ‘a modern update to the Intellivox DS1608’, the unit has all electronics built into the loudspeaker enclosure, and boasts a high-efficiency power supply and class-D amplification. It features 14 high-efficiency, 6.5-inch loudspeakers, arranged in accordance with JBL Intellivox’s algorithm, plus two coaxially mounted compression drivers for extended frequency response. It also uses DDS (Beam Shaping) algorithms, which allow the vertical dispersion of the array to be tailored to individual installations.
