Antelope Audio has added the Orion Studio HD HDX & USB 3.0 interface to its audio interface line-up, offer full Pro Tools HD and Native DAW compatibility via HDX and USB 3.0 connectivity.

Antelope Audio Orion Studio HDThe interface provides zero-latency streaming and processing of 192kHz, 24-bit audio alongside a library of real-time FPGA effects, high-end clocking and conversion. In keeping with the earlier Orion32 HD and Goliath HD, Orion Studio HD can operate simultaneously with Pro Tools HD and Native DAW set-ups, and any analogue or digital input can arrive in Pro Tools HD sample accurate in the timeline.

Additionally users can currently access more than 40 free real-time models of EQs, compressors, and guitar amps and cabs from the likes of BAE, Grove Hill, Gyraf Audio and Lang for recording, mixing and mastering.

Orion Studio HD offers 12 class-A (Hi-Z/mic/line) preamps with phantom power; two pairs of monitor outputs (Monitor A and B); 16 analogue line outputs on a pair of standard 25-pin D-Sub connectors; two reamp outputs; two headphone outputs; eight channels of digital I/O via Adat with two further digital I/O channels (SPDIF/Wordclock) on BNC connectors that can double as Loopsync I/O.

It also features 64-bit AFC (Acoustically Focused Clocking) technology for jitter management, and functionality control via multiple computers with a Windows and mac OS compatible Control Panel desktop applications.

Multiple Orion Studio HD units can be controlled via the serial number selector and there is also the ability to switch between two routing matrix view modes; as well as an application for full session saving. Session Presets permit users to save, load and share any routing, mixing, effects and HDX Delay Compensation settings, so presets can be easily exchanged between studio facilities with (compatible) professional audio interfaces from Antelope Audio. Apps for both Android and iOS platforms allow mic preamps and output volumes to be adjusted remotely from smartphones or tablets.
