VB-Audio Software has updated its VB-Cable – a Windows interface software application allowing interconnection of audio devices or the creation of audio device in environments where there is no physical audio board.

VB-Cable is a simple audio driver for Windows. It appears as a new Playback Device and as a new Recording Device in audio system that can be used by any audio applications like a regular audio device. All sounds sent to the Playback Device Point (in any audio format) can be captured on the Recording Device point by another application (also in any audio format).

The new version supports sample rates from 8kHz to 192kHz through all Windows audio interfaces – MME, DX, WDM, KS, WASAPI). It also includes a driver for Windows Server 2003, and its Win7 driver version has been validated on Win8, Win8.1 and Win10 (32/64-bits).

‘VB-Cable can now be used without having to be configured, just like a real cable,’ says VB-Audio’s Vincent Burel. ‘Just connect it and it will work in any cases with any applications, in any audio format on its input or output. That makes a huge difference for users’

VB-Cable’s A and B are also available in this new version (Pack43) distributed as donationware, allowing users to set the licence fee. Volume licencing, corporate installation and distribution/integration/bundle licences are available on request.
