Lawo Nova73 compact routerLawo has unveiled the Nova73 compact router, for use as a stand-alone device or as a core for the company’s mc² series of digital mixing consoles. In combination with the new mc²56 mixing console, it offers a powerful yet compact (7U-high) package designed for the demands of broadcasting.

With 5120 x 5120 crosspoints, the Nova73 compact supports up to ten I/O slots with Madi, ATM or Ravenna interface cards. Alternatively, the same slots can be assigned to two AES3 cards that will provide up to 64 AES channels. In combination with an mc² series mixing console, a Nova73 compact with its full complement of five DSP cards offers more than 600 DSP channels.

Used with Lawo’s Dallis interfaces, an extensive selection of interface cards is available via breakout boxes. This allows the system to accommodate all audio formats, GPIO and control data (RS422) as well as special SDI and intercom cards. A redundant power supply fitted as standard, and a further redundant router module can be added as an option.
