Bittree has released the Patch32A Dante audio patchbay, designed to ‘streamline the integration of traditional analogue and IP network-based audio patching’.

Bittree Patch32AThe Patch32A promises an efficient means of instantly moveing 16 channels of analogue audio onto and off of Dante networks, offering a bridge between legacy audio equipment and IP-based systems that use Audinate’s Dante media networking technology – including the platform’s recently-added AES67 and SMPTE ST-2110 interoperability.

The Patch32A eliminates the complexity of analogue and Dante audio patching by minimising cabling, conversion equipment and associated costs for broadcasters, recording studios, postproduction facilities, houses of worship, performance venues, large corporate offices, higher education campuses and other professional A/V environments.

The Patch32A comes in a 1.5U-high desktop form factor and features TT patching connections for analogue I/O (16x16), redundant DC power inputs, external word clock I/O, network status indicators, and LED audio vu metering. 24-bit audio sampling at rates from 44.1kHz to 192kHz is complemented by professional analogue-to-digital conversions that maximise signal integrity and audio fidelity. The Patch32A can interface with Dante Virtual Soundcard, more than 1,600 third-party Dante-enabled devices, and almost any analogue component in the same system – from audio distribution equipment and recorders to digital audio workstations, DSPs and mixing consoles.

‘Media facilities are transitioning to IP-based infrastructures at an accelerating pace, but they require easy and cost-effective solutions to connect their existing analogue equipment investments into next-generation media networks,’ says Bittree Senior Sales Consultant, Bryan Carpenter. ‘The Patch32A Dante patchbay is ideal for immediately solving problems in existing environments or as the backbone of new facility builds. Audio professionals and systems integrators have been eagerly awaiting the Patch32A since its unveiling earlier this year, and we’re excited to now be delivering it into customers’ hands.’
