The PreSonus Atom Producer Lab is an integrated production kit that combines the company’s Atom production and performance pad controller with the bus-powered AudioBox USB 96 audio/Midi interface, M7 large-diaphragm condenser microphone and Studio One Artist production software for Mac and Windows. The bundle also includes a bonus MVP Loop content library, the Studio Magic Plug-in Suite, and mic and USB cables.
The Atom is both a compact, dynamic performance controller and a versatile production controller that can be used to produce beats, play virtual instruments and trigger sound effects and loops in real time 16 full-size, velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB pads with selectable pad velocity curves and pad pressure thresholds, eight assignable pad banks, four programmable rotary encoders, and 20 assignable buttons.
Atom connects to a computer via USB and is compatible with most music software but it especially shines when used with the included Studio One 4 Artist production software. Studio One Artist includes powerful drag-and-drop functionality; unlimited audio tracks, Midi tracks, virtual instruments, buses, and FX channels; and 25 built-in effects and virtual instrument plug-ins. Atom and Studio One integrate tightly to deliver a fast, professional workflow that includes the ability to browse virtual instruments and add them to a session, change instrument presets, create loop points and navigate the timeline, change song tempo, edit and quantise Midi events, zoom in and out on the timeline or events and control Studio One’s transport.
The 2-input/2-output AudioBox USB 96 bus-powered audio/Midi interface works with virtually any Mac or Windows recording software.
