Swedish manufacturer Lindell Audio has released the AmpX, a class-A studio standard power amplifier.
While reference monitors for critical listening are often active (self powered) others are not. In addition, loudspeakers selected for ‘real world’ reference – such as Yamaha’s NS10 – take the passive hi-fi approach. In either case, the power amplifier used to drive the monitors should add as little of its own character as possible. In response, Lindell has developed the AmpX to be a studio workhorse, with high resolution and high headroom.
